Perseus CFS 14: reviews and opinions
Pickleheads gives it 4.5/5 and calls it an excellent all-court paddle that is "not for everyone": 10/10 control in the soft game, power 8, spin 8 and forgiveness 7.5. It is lighter and faster than the Hyperion and sturdier at the throat, but it has a small sweet spot that punishes mishits, and its spin is beaten by newer paddles.
Strengths
- Excellent control in the soft game
- Lighter and quicker than the Hyperion
- Sturdy construction
Limitations
- Small sweet spot
- Less spin than newer paddles
It suits you if
- You are an advancing intermediate who relies on touch and control
- You come from the Hyperion and want it lighter
Better choose another paddle if
- You are a beginner: off-centre hits are punished
- You want maximum spin
