How we choose

Each racket gets a score based on its page data: how close the recommended level is to yours, whether style and shape match how you play (round for control, teardrop or hybrid for an all-round game, diamond for attack), the feel if you have arm problems, the weight, the list price against your budget and the category. Rackets that are too advanced for beginners are penalised. There are no paid placements.
